We should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once
- Friedrich Nietzsche
Kristie's camera has never let her stray far from her original passion of dance, allowing her to become a part of the dance community through a different medium. Her own formal dance training makes each shoot a collaborative effort to choreograph for the camera, merging the languages of dance and photography.
Since graduating from Columbia College Chicago in 2002, Kristie has enjoyed working with many individual dancers, choreographers, and companies, photographing for Luna Negra Dance Theater, Instruments of Movement, Chicago Tap Theatre, and many others. When she's not behind a camera, you can find her in a roda with Gingarte Capoeira, in class at Lou Conte or Ruth Page, or in the audience at many, many performances.
